Our Equipment
The equipment used during our investigations is only one part of the entire process. We use all the equipment shown below. We also are constantly evaluating and inventing other gadgets and products that could be useful during our investigations. All investigators are trained and educated on the proper use and limitations of our equipment. Every piece of equipment has a specific purpose that better helps us determine the level of activity or debunking what is not.  


 

DVR - Digital Video Recorder
We use 4 and 8 channel DVR systems with infrared technology. Camera's are placed throughout the investigative site with the hopes of capturing any paranormal activity in reported known areas.





Camcorder
Portable video devices are used to record activity during the investigation process for both visual and audible effects. Camcorders are also used in areas we can not reach with our DVR system so we can still record potential evidence in that location.



IR Illuminator
The IR Illuminator is attached to the camcorder to enhance night vision recording and improve images that may or may not be paranormal.  






Camera's
We use Full-Spectrum Camera's, 35mm Camera's and Digital Camera's to document findings and record evidence. Camera's with built in night vision are a plus, since a flash can wash out most types of paranormal activity.  


                



Digital Audio Recorder
This device is the investigators best friend. Most evidence captured is in the form of an EVP - Electronic Voice Phenomena. An EVP is the capturing of a voice that is not always audible to the human ear or a voice that is not of the investigators using the recorder.



EMF Detector
Electromagnetic Field Detector measures and tracks energy sources. The energy could be that of high electronic magnetic fields that exist naturally or those that are caused by paranormal activity. The detector is used to eliminate high EMF's that could be caused by electrical services or appliances which may cause a false sense of paranormal activity. Trained investigators use this device cautiously to pin- point paranormal activity with readings between 2.0 and 7.0.

IR Thermometer
Thermometer is used to measure room air temperature to gain a baseline temperature prior to investigating. Once that is established, any drastic drop in temperature can be further investigated as a potential Cold Spot which may indicate spirit type activity trying to manifest itself.




Motion Detector
Motion detectors or sensors are used in rooms to alert investigators that activity may be presenting itself in that area. The sensor has an alarm that activates when the IR (infrared) beam is broken by an object.






K-II Meter
This meter works much like the EMF Detector measuring Electromagnetic Fields. But, it offers investigators a tool that can be used to communicate with an energy by having it blink the meters lights on and off to specific questions to gain a response.




 Motion Camera
The Motion-Cam allows for video and/or still images to be taken through IR Technology in areas that have no power to run video or other recording equipment. An object breaks the IR beam which then activates the device and then evidence is captured in a digital format.

Thermal Imaging Camera
The thermal imager works as an IR camera and measures heat and can see movement of objects in low and no light areas. Popular with emergency services, it has found a home with paranormal investigations. The device allows investigators to record and capture evidence that might have other wised not been seen.


See-SnakeTM
The See-Snake is used to look in to areas we can not get in to due to size or safety reasons. The unit has a camera and light which is projected back to a color screen so we can visualize the area we need to investigate.



Stethoscope
The stethoscope is used to detect sound in and through walls and floors. An excellent debunking tool, it allows the investigator to hear more clearly what we can not always see. The stethoscope can also pin-point where noise is coming from and determine what is normal versus paranormal.


Ambient Air Thermometer
This thermometer is used in cold spots to gain an 
accurate temperature of the air in an area after a baseline temperature has been taken of the area being investigated.


Bionic Ear
New to the Paranormal Investigative Field, the Bionic Ear or the Parabolic Dish is used to collect EVP's or other paranormal type noises that could be missed during normal data collection. This instrument also helps investigators determine what noises are normal that could be misinterpreted as paranormal. 


Night Vision Monocular
The night vision monocular is used to see in complete darkness. This instrument can be attached to a digital camera and photographs and movies can be filmed through its view finder.
